Original Doggie Diner Head Print - 5" x 7" Matted is backordered and will ship as soon as it is back in stock.

Signed and matted or framed watercolor print depicting the original red Doggy Diner Head on Sloat Blvd.

Doggie Diner was a beloved restaurant chain that started in Oakland, CA in 1948. Founded by Al Ross, the diner served classic American food like burgers, fries, and of course, hot dogs! At its peak of popularity, there were 22 Doggie Diners across California. After a 40 year run, the last Doggie Diner meal was served in 1986, and all that's left are these nostalgic icons are the giant fiberglass Doggie Diner heads, each with their own unique colors and quirks. There aren't many of them left, with some belonging to collectors and a few scattered in hidden places such as this one on Sloat Boulevard next to the SF Zoo.
